Abbys Dream Fundraiser Progress

Thank you so much to those of you who sent a donation to my daughters World Vision Fundraiser she is doing! So far she has raised $100 of her $252 goal. She couldn't have raised it without the donations from the generous people who mailed her funds. Thank you thank you thank you!

For those of you who don't know about it, my 8 yr old daughter Abigail is raising money for a World Vision fund to purchase a foot powered water pump, seeds, gardening tools and training for a family in Africa. $200 is for the pump. $52 is for the seeds tools and training. She is very excited to do this.

It may take her a little longer than anticipated to raise the money (she was hoping by the end of summer) but we will continue this until she reaches her goal. Being that she is only 8, I am helping her keep track of the funds and put them in the bank in a seperate account specifically for her fundraiser.

If you are interested in sending a donation of any amount to Abbys Dream (she also has a facebook page for this) feel free to contact me at christine@cgwardphotography.com ! I will be sure the donation is taken care of! As soon as she reaches her goal we will let everyone know! Donaters also get a super sweet handwritten "thank you note" from Abby. lol.

Here is a picture of Abbys progress poster as of now,

  2. Sorry to bombard your blog, but I just read your post about the Facebook game and I felt the need to comment. I am one of those that did participate in the game because I am passionate about breast cancer. My grandmother passed away when she was only 61 from it and it was a horrible experience for me, I ache to hug her or just to talk to her every single day and it was over 7 years ago. I NEVER even thought about all the people that would be hurt by it as I have never suffered from infertility or miscarriages. I won't apologize for something that was done unintentionally by me because I don't think that I should have to and whats done is done. However, I would like to THANK YOU for your post, it was VERY respectful and it did let me to see the other persons point of view. I would be very hurt and offended if people were making light of children with Autisim as my daughter has Aspergers so I do understand how it is just through a completely different trial. I will say I am soo sorry for anyone that is hurt by this. I am so sorry for the pain you are going through. After this, I probably won't participate in those games, but I will try to post something that actually will support breast cancer. I won't take up any more of your time but thank you for your beautiful words!
